My experience using public transportation

So here I was forced into taking the bus. My parents were in Spokane, I was getting off work, and I of course needed to get home. So I went to the nearest bus stop. I waited and waited. NO bus came for over an hour! Finally the bus came but then it started driving all over the city and everywhere I didn't need to be. In my mind I was thinking..."Rachel, you got on the wrong bus, you are never going to get home." That was about the time that I started to pray. Then all of a sudden we were stopping. It was the main bus transfer center! Thank you Jesus. I then found the bus going near my house. People kept staring at me. I think it was the look of panic in my face and my attire (skirts in 20 degree weather are not normal). Needless to say I didn't care what they thought. I was finally on the right bus. When the bus got near my stop, I pulled the signal rope but it didn't signal. AHHHH! was my first thought. Luckily, it eventually worked and the bus driver stopped a little ways past my house. I had to walk for awhile in the cold, but at least I made it home.

I said this because it was an experience everyone should try at least once. Yes, it was scary my first time, but I think the second time will be better. Now, if I had a car that would be my ultimate choice, but since I am saving for a nice car, the bus is my only way. One word of advice...take bus passenger lessons so you can look like a pro on your first ride haha. Too bad they don't really have those. It sure would help people like me.

Happy Birthday to two of my favorite men!

I want to give a big shout out to the one and only dad who rocks, who is the best dad ever, and who is the best example of a christian. Daddy Happy Birthday! Thank you for being a dad every girl and boy wants. The things you do for us kids are endless and I will forever be thankful. Most of all I want everyone to know the man of God that you are. Thank you for following God, being fearless, and having vision. You are a man anyone can follow and know they will be going in right direction. Faith Tabernacle is in good hands (of course it is really in God's hands). Love you bunches!
I would also like to say a big Happy Birthday to Steven, my little brother, who will always be my little brother no matter how much bigger and smarter he is than me. I love you so much Steven! You are becoming such a responsible, hardworking, and sweet young man. I can't wait to see what the future holds for your life. I hope this is the best birthday yet.

FAITH TABERNACLE HEADLINES!

Great things are happening in the city of Missoula, Montana. People are hearing more and more about the new church in town. That church is Faith Tabernacle, an Apostolic Pentecostal, one God, tongue talking, and holiness church. Folks, this church is not ashamed of who they are and what they believe. They got truth, and Missoula will soon know.

Upcoming events for Faith Tabernacle's future are as follows: Sunday school for ages 1-13 will be starting in a few weeks under the direction of myself. The music ministry under Sis. Malone is growing leaps and bounds with luke learning drums, Austin on guitar, and me and Sis. malone playing keyboard and singing. The preaching is revolutionary and inspiring. Next week, we will be having a guest preacher, Rev. Vik Hylen. Guests come and go, but these people are hungry and searching, and my dad is teaching them Bible studies. It won't be long before we have Bible studies at a coffee shop for the college age. I am telling you things are picking up speed here. We even got a little website http://www.faithtabernacle.vpweb.com/. Revival in Missoula! Keep Faith Tabernacle in your prayers along with the other daughter churches of the Rock. The North West is about to be rocked like never before. I am so excited!

Steven Douglas Malone

After hearing about the great revival at the Rock Church, I am believing for God to touch my brother's heart. Please leave comments that will uplift and strengthen.

Steven,
I want you to know God is never going to stop pulling for you. We all love you, but Jesus loves you most of all. He created you and intintially left a hole in your heart. Everyone tries to fill the hole with the things of the world. Since God put it there, He is the only one who can truly fill it. Give God a chance and see for yourself what God can do in your life. I know you love Jesus and I believe with all my heart that you desire to feel him. As your big sister, please know I will never stop praying for the day you will feel him and all this confusion will vanish. For God is not the author of confusion. Jesus is truth and He is light.

Love,
Rachel

Steven,
I am praying for you stevie. I want you to go to Heaven. Jesus loves you and I love you too. Send me an email when you get Jesus back in your heart. I want to know.

Love,
Ellie

p.s. Those are Ellie's true words. I didn't add or take away anything.

It's time to die???

A very respected person once told me "Rachel, one day you will die." I never understood the full meaning of those words until now. Let me explain...

Have you ever sang the songs "I will give you all" or "Don't do it without me?" Have you ever prayed with desire to really be used of God? It is important to know what you are really asking for. Asking God to use you is actually the first step in the death process. This death is not physical of course. It is a slow, painful, and spiritual journey; a fight between our flesh and our spirit.

No one knows when this process will start or when it will end, but greatness in Christ can not come without death. All I know is church, God, and His kingdom. My desire has always been to be used. "God please use me" has been my constant prayer. I was reading the story of Rebecca and Isaac. It is such a beautiful story, but most people over look Rebecca. Instead, they see God's answered prayer to Abraham's servant. Imagine Rebecca, the young lady chosen by God for Isaac. Why was she chosen, or did she choose? I can picture Rebecca praying as a child "God please use me." However, she had no idea what God had planned for her. God wanted her to be an ancestor of Jesus, but it was going to require great sacrifice. She could have resisted Abraham's servant. She was being asked to leave her family and become a wife to a man she never met!!! In today's society that would have been craziness, but Rebecca was prepared. She knew this was her moment; the time God had prepared for her. She died to her desires and surrendered to God's. She chose and died. Now that is a story of greatness.

God has called everyone to greatness. He wants every believer to be used. The Holy Ghost is free but comes with a great responsibility. However, God will not force anyone to answer the call. "many are called but few are chosen" The chosen of God are people who have died. Like Rebecca, they have surrendered completely, and they have made God their everything. I can honestly say I want to die. No matter how painful, no matter how strenuous, and no matter how confusing life gets God is still the only one who is my everything. I wake up and go to bed saying "Jesus you are my everything" I am dying, but God is living.
"Let it be Lord, Let it be"

Thank you Jesus!!!

I finally found a job folks!!! It took me two months, a hundred applications, and lots of persistence but I finally did it. I will be a teller for First Security Bank. God is so good, and His timing is always perfect. I start tomorrow. Not only are the people nice there, but this is a job I can meet lots of people and be a Godly witness in this city. I can't wait to start :-)
