Happy Anniversary!!!!

Wow its been eight wonderful years since my daddy married my mammy. She was an answer to my prayers. I prayed for a mommy to take care of my daddy and I got so much more. I got a step-mom who also loved me and my brothers with all her heart. Not only has she taken care of my dad, she has taken a broken man and turned him into the King Tut hahaha. She has allowed him to dream, and now he is living his dream. I am so thankful for their loving marriage. They teach me that even in difficult circumstances marriage can still be a success story. Yes, we have had struggles, but I have seen them overcome great obstacles which have only made there love and resolve stronger. Now, that is true love. And now to see them living their dream is a powerful realization of what it takes to make dreams a reality. Heres how: find a man with a dream and find a woman willing to follow him and you will find two people living in reality! Wow that is powerful.

Yippee Thanksgiving Day!

I am so excited. I love Thanksgiving for three reasons, family, food, and it marks the beginning of Christmas season. I love the preparation behind Thanksgiving, cooking in the kitchen, tasting the food when mom's not looking, and oh the wonderful smells. I can't wait to cook for my own family one day. What are your favorite things about Thanksgiving Day?

Since this is the month centered around thanksgiving, I thought I would share a few thoughts.

Be thankful for what you have because when its gone it will be too late to be thankful.

Remember there is always someone who has more, who is more talented, and who is more popular, but on the flip side, remember the people who have less, who are disabled, and who have no friends.

Remember we live in a country where anything is possible, even in the midst of economic crisis. It only takes ambition, hard work, and trust in God.

I try not to take things for granted. For example the simple things in life like: heating for cold weather, clothing, a car to drive (or parents to drive you), a job, owning a Bible, owning anything really, freedom to worship, and most of all God's protection.

And the not so simple things: God's grace through His gift the Holy Ghost and the endless truths found in the precious Word of God.

Technology!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The more you try to make sense of technology, the more you realize, how much you don't know.

Ugh!!! is all I can say right now. I just spent over an hour filling out an application online only to have my computer erase almost everything I did. I don't know if it was their website or my computer, but either way, why can't employers stick to good old fashioned paper? Not mention the gazillion questions they ask about my personality. Hey aren't those questions for the interview? hahaha I really not that frustrated.

I just know many of my friends can empathize with me.

Today is my Little Lukey's 15th Birthday. Yep! I know its hard to believe but he is no longer a little boy. He is a man.

Luke, I am so proud of you. This move has not been easy for any of us, but you have shown exemplary character. Not only are you fun to be around but you are a leader for good things. I know God has GREAT things in store for your life. This is only the first chapter. Let God be the author of your story. I Believe in you and I am here for you. I love being your big Sis. I love it because no matter how much we get on each others nerves I can always count on your hugs, your laugh, and your cheerful personality to lift my spirits. Thank you Luke for being who you are and don't ever change.
